2022 Durham Fall Fair Family Weekend
The Fair Weekend Celebration will be held on Labour Day weekend, September 2-5, 2022.
On the Arena Floor
In place of these displays we are running a Fall Fair themed Craft Show. This means that all those beautiful items that are normally on display are being sold by their creators. So for 2022 you can be the judges and purchase those prize winning quilts, baby blanket, doll houses and flowers – for your own home.
We will also have an area set out for our members to display and sell several of their “covid creations” without running their own vendor booth.
We will still be running our Tea Table so has you browse for your house, your spouse and your long Christmas list you can enjoy Sandwiches, Pie and Drinks.
Kiddie Tractor Pull will take place starting at 7pm on Friday
These areas will run 6-10 Friday Sept 2nd and 9-5 Saturday Sept 3rd
Sunday will have our traditional Community Church Service with luncheon immediately following.
In the Auditorium
Friday Evening is kicking off with a Spaghetti Dinner at 6pm ($15 per person) followed by our traditional Cake and Quilt Auction.
This evening would not be complete without the Junior and Senior Ambassador of the Fair Competition. These ladies and gentlemen need our community support as they vie in their quest to support our Fair as the 2022/2023 representatives.
On Saturday the auditorium is playing host to High Tea for the Red Hat Society and in the evening we will be serving a Beef on a Bun Dinner.
THE BIG TENT- This is New – but will hold many of your old favorites
In the Big Tent you will find the Fun Factory Games, Story Time with the West Grey Library, Farm Safety Booth, Milk Booth, Colouring Contest and Bike Draw. Then big tent will be open for these from 12 -5pm on Saturday Sept 3rd.
After a quick change up The Big Tent becomes a giant Dance floor with the varied music of Rick Tourlousse for a community dance!
Down the Hill
Some things Never Change – and that a good thing, because that means that once again out 4H cattle and sheep shows are back and after a 3 year hiatus our horses are back – both English and Western! A detailed schedule of these events will be available shortly.
Another Fan, and Farmer Favorite is the Antique Tractor pull and it is definitely back on Sunday starting at noon sharp.
A complete listing of the times of these events and further details will be posted to our Durham Agricultural Society Facebook page in the coming days.
